Angelina - Director

Angelina grew up in Shandong, China, in a small village where weaving was and still is a way of life. She is well versed in the cultivation and picking of cotton, spinning the thread into yarn and finally weaving it on the loom to produce the hand made throws that we sell today. All of our weavers are personally known to her as they still live in her home village. She regularly visits Shandong to mantain quality controls and above all build the relationships between villagers and 'Hand Made Throws'. It has been her goal for many years to bring Chinese weaving into homes around the world and now that that goal has been reached she hopes that more people will appreciate this ancient craft. If her village is prosperous, as she says, her life is fulfilled and happy.

Ian - Sales Director

Having lived in China for more than six years Ian has an insight into Chinese culture that most people would kill for. After a long career in sales in England he moved his interests to China and more importantly his life. He now lives and breathes China using his knowledge of sales and marketing with Chinese know-how. As the co-founder of 'Hand Made Throws' he has the same ideals as his wife and business partner Angelina, to produce high quality, unique handmade throws in order to help this ancient art survive into the next century. He is highly motivated and extremely customer centred and feels that 'Handmade Throws' offers a product to suit all tastes and ages. Any issues you may have then he is your man.

Amelia - UK Agent & Design Director

With a degree in design and photography Amelia has been an integral part of Hand Made Throws, ultimately deciding on final designs, from the first day of trading. Well versed in Chinese culture and a regular visitor to Northern China she deals with any issues we have in the UK (based in Nottingham and Durham City), Europe and the States. Recently opening up Northern America she is actively involved in the development of Hand Made Throws and strives to discover appealing designs for our customers. She is one busy person but never too busy to help!
